I LOVE the movie Mystic Pizza.
And I've always wanted to go to Mystic Pizza, the restaurant that inspired the movie.
So when I found out it was basically on the way from Farmington to Misquamicut Beach in Rhode Island, where I had planned to see the ocean for the first time, I knew I had to stop.
Like I noted in my Yelp review, the service wasn't the best (my waitress was great, the hostess almost made me cry) but the food was amazing.
I got the cheese bread and hawaiian pizza. I know *some* people think pineapple doesn't belong on pizza but I love it.
The cheese bread also made an amazing dinner later that night!
It's also super cute on the inside, and the town of Mystic is adorable.
They play the movie on a loop!
My only regret about my Mystic Pizza visit (besides not eating more!) was not buying a tee shirt. I really wanted one, but I thought, oh no, I should save money, I won't really want one later.
It's later.
I want one.
I mean, how awesome are these?

Anyway, I finally packed up my leftovers and headed out to wander around the town a bit before heading to the beach.

There's also a bridge that lifts up to let boats pass under.
It was terrifying.
